The Kunstmuseum Basel in Switzerland will reopen on Sunday, April 17, following a year-long renovation. The institution will inaugurate its new space with an exhibition dedicated to Jackson Pollock’s figurative works—a lesser known aspect of the artist’s largely abstract oeuvre. Opening in October, the show will bring together about 100 works, fifty of which are on loan from major institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
