The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will conserve two of its most beloved masterpieces—Vincent van Gogh’s House at Auvers and Enclosed Field with Ploughman. The project will involve removing varnishes from both of the paintings’ surfaces. Guests of the museum will be able to watch conservators at work thanks to the institution’s glass-enclosed “Conservation in Action” space.
