Lucinda Barnes, who has served as Chief Curator at the Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive since 2014, will retire on June 29. Barnes played a pivotal role in the institution's move to its new Diller Scofidio + Renfro-designed building, which opened to the public back in January. In addition to the Berkeley Art Museum, Barnes has worked at a number of venerable institutions over the course of her forty-three-year career, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
