For the first time in its 62-year history, the seminal Winter Antiques Show has named four of the country’s most influential tastemakers Honorary Design Chairs. Ellie Cullman, Alexa Hampton, Markham Roberts and Nate Berkus have all been selected for their prominence in the industry and expertise in decorating with antiques.

The most sumptuous moment in America's Gilded Age is revealed through the work of some of its most noted design firms in Artistic Furniture of the Gilded Age at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The centerpiece of the three-part exhibition is the opulent Worsham-Rockefeller Dressing Room from the New York City house commissioned by art collector and philanthropist Arabella Worsham (later Huntington; ca. 1850-1924).

If Henry and Mary Lily Flagler were to walk into their music room at Whitehall today, they would feel right at home.

That’s saying a lot, considering that Whitehall, finished in 1902, has withstood more than a century of weather and wear. To reverse the inescapable ravages of time, the Flaglers’ Beaux-Arts mansion has undergone an extensive 15-year conservation effort.

Paris Tableau—the Old Master fair that closed two days early this year after the terrorist attacks in the capital on 13 November—will become part of the Biennale des Antiquaires, which will be held annually at the Grand Palais.

The 28th edition of the Biennale—the historic jewelry, art and antiques fair—is scheduled to open next autumn (10-18 September 2016) with Henri Loyrette, the former president of the Louvre, at the helm.

On November24th and 25th, 2015, Sotheby’s London will host a major two-day sale of art and antiques from the collection of the Bernheimers, one of Europe’s greatest art dealer dynasties.

The incredible story of the Bernheimer family is a tale of resilience and constant reinvention. Covering four generations of art dealers, it is permeated with the vicissitudes of 20th century history and, in many ways, charts the evolution of the dealer ‘trade’ over for the last 150 years. The 34th San Francisco Fall Antiques Show (FAS) will kick off on Wednesday, October 21, with an opening night Preview Gala at the Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion in the city’s posh Marina District. The International Fine Art & Antiques Show is shaking things up for its 27th iteration. Held at the distinguished Park Avenue Armory from October 23–29, 2015, the fair will debut a new name and logo as well as an updated marketing aesthetic. Now simply called The International Show, the fair, which has historically featured fine art and antiques, will also include twentieth century and contemporary art and design.
